(IHS) is a robotics/XR technology company that focuses on the research and development of industry-leading Haptic platform technology which provides users immersive experience with realistic sense of touch when interfacing with the virtual world. Our Haptic platform technology integrates advanced technology like Haptic, human-computer-interface (HCI), XR, AI to provide hardware, software, and data solutions to enhance haptic user experiences for various applications such as medical, industrial, and gaming. Our first application focuses on medical applications, specifically surgical training simulation systems. We have successfully developed and commercialized industry-leading Haptic and XR-based endoscopy surgical training systems for many hospitals and medical schools. IHS is in partnership with Shenzhen Zhichu Computer System Co., Ltd which is responsible for product manufacturing, marketing, and sales. IHS is also in partnership with multiple renowned research hospitals such as the Department of Gastroenterology, Beijing Tsinghua Changgung Hospital, and Vancouver General Hospital which will provide clinical trial/evaluation platforms for product development.

About the position and your responsibilities

We are looking for an HR Manager to join and provide valuable guidance to our executive team and:

  • Manage our workforce demand planning and expand recruitment channels to hire and onboard suitable talent in a timely manner.
  • Develop, update and implement:
  • company policies related to onboarding/offboarding, operations, and KPI execution for R&D, Sales, Marketing, HR and other departments,
  • position profiles,
  • people management training and development materials, and
  • legal compliance policies related to all human resources matters.
  • Coordinate the development and documentation of:
  • corporate culture,
  • workforce management risks prevention and elimination,
  • employee cohesion enhancement, and
  • internal surveys to gather employee feedback and identify areas of employee satisfaction and engagement to positively improve overall productivity.
  • Work with the leadership, and collaborate with IHS China team, to develop strategies that support our global team growth in alignment with our mission and principles, business development vision and requirements, labour markets, and budget.
  • Bring a problem-solving attitude and knowledge of employment standards, labour legislation, and HR best-practices to the table.
  • Identify a suitable Human Resources Management Software (HRMS) and suggest new HR technology solutions to improve day-to-day operations.
  • Help leaders identify opportunities for improvement and innovation in their HR practices.
  • Research and recommend performance evaluation methods (e.g., employee appraisal systems).
  • Monitor key metrics, like turnover and retention rates.
  • Address employee requests and HR issues (e.g., leave of absence, short term disability, etc.).
  • Lead employer branding initiatives.
  • Function as a credible HR point of contact for all team members.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in BSs in HR Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven work experience as an HR Advisor, HR Consultant, or similar role.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Mandarin language and excellent communication and people skills.
  • MSc/MA in HR or Organizational Psychology.
