Intelligent Haptronic Solutions at Vancouver Startup Week

This year’s Vancouver Startup Week (VSW), a week-long celebration of innovation and ingenuity in the Greater Vancouver startup community, served as an opportunity to showcase Intelligent Haptronic Solutions’ success internationally and growing presence in Canada. The event was held in downtown Vancouver from September 13-20, 2019, bringing together more than 2,000 entrepreneurs, investors, leaders, and curious individuals with the purpose of connecting people, empowering the community, and recognizing local success. Events included investor highlights, panel discussions, site visits, and networking opportunities.
The Intelligent Haptronic Solutions team attended several events throughout VSW, including the Simon Fraser University (SFU) VentureLabs Demo Day and a number of investor sessions. Having made major developments to our proprietary haptic technology, virtual reality (VR) platform, and artificial intelligence engine in recent months, we shared our 2nd generation digestive endoscopy simulator prototype during the VentureLabs Demo Day and provided interactive demonstrations for booth attendees. Our company’s founder and CEO, Zhouming Tang, also presented on the company and digestive endoscopy simulator during a session with investors, entrepreneurs, and peers.
From the eventful week, Intelligent Haptronic Solutions connected with numerous members of the Vancouver startup space, such as Innovate BC and Innovate Canada, and generated interest from local venture capital and private investors. Looking ahead to the upcoming year, Intelligent Haptronic Solutions is on track to finalizing the alpha production prototype of the digestive endoscopy simulator, and the team is planning for expansion into Canada and China. We can’t wait to share our progress at VSW 2020!
